Jeff Campbell is an amazing bagpipe musician with a talent that rivals the best bagpipers of Scotland. For my father's memorial service, I challenged Jeff with obscure and complex tunes to which he masterfully memorized and performed perfectly. Jeff has a very pleasant demeanor and was respectful and courteous the entire time. He was punctual and accommodating even when sudden changes in the service schedule presented itself, Jeff was able to adapt to accommodate the changes. I would highly recommend him and guarantee that you won't be disappointed. |

I chose Jeff to play at both my 98-year-old Irish grandmother's funeral and interment and was blown away by his talent and professionalism. Although we were devastated by the loss of such an amazing woman, Jeff's bagpipe rendition of Patty's Green Shamrock Shores and Amazing Grace helped us perfectly honor my dear grandmother's life. We had a very diverse group at the events honoring my grandmother - Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Irish and non-Irish - and all of them commented on how beautiful and moving Jeff's music was. Best of all, Jeff was a DREAM to work with which was something that really helped my mom and I during our time of grief. Very grateful for him and will be using him again in the future for happier occasions. |

We hired Jeff to play for my Irish grandfather's funeral and celebration of life. My granddad was a stickler with music, and would have appreciated and enjoyed Jeff's playing. Jeff was professional with excellent performance timing, and played all of the tunes we had chatted about on the phone. He played a number of lively jigs and reels as guests arrived to the house for the celebration which helped to lighten the mood and even brought the neighbors out to enjoy! All in all, Jeff is an excellent player, very helpful with song choice, professional, and friendly. Everyone remarked at how beautifully he played. He really helped us give my granddad a good send off. I would hire Jeff again for any event in a heartbeat. |

We contracted Jeff to play at the birthday party of my wife's father who was turning 90 in May of 2018. My father-in-law is from Scotland and really gets emotional at great playing of the pipes. Well, needless to say Jeff was a smash hit at the party. He was professional, arrived early for the party and piped my father-in-law into the venue here in Monterey. Not only does Jeff play well, he is very funny and adds a lot of history behind the songs he plays. We also asked Jeff to bring 2 dancers with him and he provided Catherine and Fiona who were as wonderful at dancing as Jeff was on the bagpipes. It was a wonderful and memorable day thanks to Jeff, Catherine and Fiona. Thanks Jeff, and if you need a bagpiper, it doesn't get any better than Jeff. |

Jeff has provided bagpiping for our Butterfly Release Memorial Service at the University of the Pacific with excellent skills to playing, performance, and professionalism. We requested he return for the second year 2018, and have booked him for the third year in 2019. Jeff arrives early and follows the agenda perfectly. He is delightful to work with, and most importantly, he is a master at bagpiping in his full highland dress. His selection of piping music was beautifully blended with the memorial service and closing the service as well. |

How good can a bagpiper get? I think Jeff is as good as it gets. I wanted to surprise my bride on her wedding day, and helped in every way: 1) His website (thebagpiper.org) is very good -- full of samples, videos, etc. If you're not an expert in bagpipers, this is a really good starting point for learning more. 2) He replied very quickly to my inquiry email, and was available. 3) Pricing-wise, he was affordable, and afterwards I felt 100% worth it. 4) Timing -- he arrived right on time (a little early for the ceremony), and we went over our game plan one more time. He started playing when the maid of honor came out, and my (now wife) told me that she started crying when she heard the piping. 5) No surprises -- he delivered just what we had discussed, and many guests commented how much they really enjoyed that element of the wedding day celebration. Would recommend Jeff 100%, no reservations. |

Jeff was an absolute joy to work with. He surpassed all expectations and my surprise to my fiance worked without flaw. Jeff's SoundCloud samples really helped out in making my choices for the day and he even took a couple of requests which were fun to hear. Jeff Campbell is the best!!! I got married in June and he was the piper for our wedding. When I was planning the wedding, I knew I wanted a piper for the wedding, but had NO idea how to find a good one. I went to the Scottish Festival and asked members of the group The Wicked Tinkers. They recommended Jeff by name immediately. His site is simple but informative, and has samples of songs to help you plan your event. He was prompt, professional, friendly and his piping was perfect. I cannot say enough about how pleased I was. He also went above and beyond and posed for some funny pix with one of my bridesmaids at her request. He was so good natured about it that we tipped him generously. His rates are beyond fair, and his skills are immaculate! |

My husband's mother passed away recently. She had one request for us to follow through on...throwing a big Irish Wake complete with Bagpiper, Irish dancers, good food, drink and fun. The challenge was we live in Wisconsin and the wake would take place in San Jose, CA. As good fortune would have it, we found a link to Jeff Campbell, The Bagpiper. We hired him, but were still in search of the Irish dancers. From the get go, we found out Jeff is very kind and thoughtful. He took the stress off of us, and took over the work for us. The venue for the event was proving to be difficult in regards to any dancers accepting the gig. But Jeff never gave up trying, and in the end secured us two wonderfully talented dancers. At the event itself, Jeff also had things totally under control as to what/where/when would be best for their performing. Again, took the stress away from us. Then we were all treated to an absolutely delightful performance of Jeff, the bagpiper (so talented!), and the equally talented Gloria Cardenas, his drummer, and lovely Irish dancers. The family can't thank Jeff enough for his dedication to making the request of my mother-in-law a reality. |

We’ve hired Jeff the past two years to help kick off our annual Hike for Hope memorial fundraiser at Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore. The event is an early morning production that attracts more than 1K hikers. There is nothing more beautiful than hearing Jeff’s bagpiping melodies in the early morning sweeping across the water while leading our hikers out to their journey.
